Does anyone know the name of this movie?

i have a very faint memory of this movie....i origionly thought it was the perfect storm but its not about the boat....i think it takes place on an island and its very snowy.....i know with a huge snow storm there comes a man hes very scary looking and later in the movie you find out that he is the devil himself....its an older movie....PLEASE HELP ME!!!
