I Would like a small pet turtle..?!?!?!?!?

I Reeeeaaalllly want a pet turle...i called a couple petstores, the box turtle is about four hundred dollars for a baby, i was wondering if there were any other species of turtles i could get, im fine with aquatic turtles but, i want a dry land one more, i want them to be smalll!!?!?!?!? any suggestions
