Damien Jurado is pretty damn good. Miniature Tigers, Matt Costa, The New Amsterdams, Wilco, 1969, Between The Trees, Butch Walker and Backseat Goodbye. Oh and I always recommend The Academy Is...and Smashing Pumpkins even if they may not fit your mentioned bands because they are my favorites. Hope that helps!
