What do others think about the comments Bertha Lewis made?

These are indeed interesting times. The mive intervention in financial markets required to prevent collapse, is unprecedented. There seem some realistic hope that severe economic depression has been avoided. The previous great depression ultimately seemed linked to world war. Hopefully by limiting the current poverty, the social strife will remain within tolerable limits. By this I mean, that hopefully people can continue to civilly converse about issues, improve relationships, limit oppression and shutdown dysfunctional institutions on the left and the right, nationally and globally without inciting the overthrow of order and peace. I like to think all parties have a contribution to make to meaningful dialog. Ms Lewis correctly understands the current threat to her organization but McCarthyism and Segregation comparisons I find inaccurate and unhelpful.
